Nub project was born in 2014, two years before really becoming what it is now, with the desire to create a gastronomic space in line with our philosophy, concerns and way of living, to develop a very personal cuisine. The idea of having different roots led us to create a cuisine aimed at searching and rescuing our origins, thus building a cultural bridge, a connection between two worlds, intertwining histories and developing new ideas based on our cultures, using mainly local produce of the land we live in.
In Nub we highly respect produce and local farmers, as well as admiring craftsmanship, for they all play an essential role in the good progress of our cuisine.
The name Nub is very simple to explain. It is actually Nube (Spanish for cloud) as it sounds phonetically. This name comes from the fact that we are located in a place called San Cristóbal de la Laguna, in Tenerife, where we are surrounded by clouds throughout most seasons of the year. These clouds are changing, they move, travel, they join each other like us and are located high up like our restaurant that is situated on a second floor above a patisserie and bakery dating from 1927 and still open.
